An otherworldly Beauty

Lara's spectacular body curves and impossibly feminine, Bardot-esque silhouette has made her a true icon. The sheer uniqueness and glamour of a beauty that caught the fashion world totally off guard catapulted her all the way to the top of the modelling scene. She is hailed as one of the world’s greatest top models, sometimes even described as the “anti-model” for her sharp looks and personality in the standardised environment of the catwalk.

“I am so flattered to join L’Oréal Paris. Getting the chance to say “You’re worth it” to women around the world is a great honour. L’Oréal Paris is a brand that has always understood that beauty and personality go hand in hand. I totally identify myself to the brand values considering my own history and career. Beauty is something you invent for yourself. It’s a powerful way of claiming who you really are.”

A real
modern icon

With an English father and Dutch mother, Lara Stone was discovered by an agent at the age of 12 on a trip to Paris while on a family vacation and started working as a teenager. However, it wasn’t until 2006, when she was chosen by Givenchy to walk for the Fall Couture Show in Paris that her career kicked off. Ever since then, she has modelled in shows for practically every major house, including Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and Fendi and become a muse to designers.

Lara has appeared in many advertising campaigns (she signed an exclusive deal with Calvin Klein) and has been featured in every major fashion magazine. She developed a close relationship with former Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld who dedicated an entire issue to her. It was to be the start of a long and passionate relationship with the magazine and its international issues, of which she has adorned the numerous times.

Lara's Concept of Beauty

“My job is a lot about outside beauty. We constantly look through the physical appearances and being beautiful from the outside quickly becomes commonplace. I find it much more important to try to be beautiful from the inside and let this inner beauty shine through.”
